Am planning to get a pump to help with erection after RP.

Any suggestions of brands/types that work/work best.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Robert,

Here's a "best buy" and it works well. $129 + shipping.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1279&item=5522600588&rd=1

If that link doesn't work, just search on vacurect on ebay.   The
manufacturer sells it for about $240 so Ebay's the only way to get a better
deal.

Good Luck

I got one made by the Timm Company.  Their pumps come under various
names.  Mine is called the Erectaid Esteem.  It is more expensive than
some others, but some medical insurance, including Medicare, will pay
for it if prescribed by your doctor.  The thing I liked about it is that
they maintained an 800 number which I could call for advice in learning
how to use it.  They also shipped me another tension ring at no cost
when I found the ones supplied with it didn't work as well as I wanted.

I got a Rejoyn (new and still sealed in the box) off Ebay for $35... total!
It does the job fine.

Good luck!

I'm curious.  If it is still sealed in the box, how do you know how well
it works?

Why, it says so right there on the box, Leonard! ~:)

Your comment reminded me of my high school English teacher who was always
finding what she called logic flaws in our writings. Often her comments were
very humorous but she made us think about what we were writing.

Hey, Mike, take it out of the box and try it. It works much better that way!

I guess it is a little like owning a straight off the showroom floor
stainless steel Deloren. Just knowing it is in the garage would make some
men (and women) ecstatic. LOL

Hehe... hi, Bev!  Yes, it has been out of the box ever since it arrived...
but it *arrived* sealed in the box... which indicated that it was new, as
opposed to *used*... ;P

I enjoyed seeing Leonard's sense of humor... it slips through every once in
awhile. :))

Question for the group:  I don't know that there is anyone here who has an
implant.  And I'm not getting one this week.  But... if I decided to get
one... knowing that I would be the only one using it (as in *solo*)... would
it be worth it?   Oh, and yes... I *would* be taking it out for a test drive
every once in awhile, Bev! :))  Guess I need to be asking the
penileprosthesissupport group over on Yahoo, huh?

Take care, all....

Ok,
I have a Rejoyn, and used it.  uh ummmm.
Oh, it is clean, and scrubbed.
You cannot get aids from it, and I do not have aids.
You cannot get herpes from it, and I do not have herpes.
Gonareah
Syphlis.....
no no no.
Anyway, I bet no man would want it, if I gave it away......
I give it away.....It is now a memory.
I bet I get no takers...........?

Funny how we are when it comes to things like that.
I know we can go to a used clothing store and buy pants, and hats, and
gloves, but I do not think many
penis pumps are sold.
We all have ears, feet, noses, heads, and such....but when it comes to down
below........it is treated with difference.
Buy a used car....You know peoples but sat there?
Anyway.
What do we do with used pumps?
Free to anyone.......1 used Rejoyn, has all the bands, and instruction book.
Comes in a vinyl case, well cared for.
Had to do it....
John Loomis
Love you all

If you do get any takers, please let them know that I'll throw in a used
enema bag that I have laying around! ;P

hi john - you should get some takers.

i remember in the military, we put all of our whites (including
underwear) in the bin marked whites, and dungrees in the other bin.  the
underwear was  washed in a 200 lb washer, so how many men were your
underwear washed with.  of course, when they came back, they were clean,
and nobody thought anything about it.  but if you take the same people
and gave them a used pair of underwear - that is clean, just like what
they were exposed to - i don't know if they would put them on or not.

John:
Interested in why you were dissatisfied?  In all honesty I mine is
sitting on a shelf in the guest bathroon linen closet (come to think
of it, what do I say if my granddaughter finds it the next time she
stays over and asks me what it is for !!???).  Anyway, my reason has
to do with my wife having had some medical problems in the last few
weeks, and grandchildren around on the weekends kind of puts a damper
on things.  I have only tried it one, but other than the rubber band
about cutting my dic off when I pulled it off the cylinder it did work
fine.  Clumbsy foreplay for sure, but no drugs, pay for it once, and
from the therapeutic standpoing, get blood in there.  What's not to
like?
Of course, I hope you can return to normal function and forget
drugs and pumps altogether.  Take care.
  Thank you.
David S.

P.S.  Come to think of it Buttercup has some old rawhide bones that
she never used.  Free to anyone who wants them?  And Mike, I checked
with Carol, and we already have an enema bag.  Thanks anyway!

Hi Ho Silver - 08 Oct 2004 18:05 GMT
My wife and I use my pump regularly.  We married in June and the pump has
been reciprocating steadily ever since!   It is a wonderful help to me (I am
67 and had prostate brachytherapy five years ago).  It has become part of
our love-play which is terrific.  For some years I had thought that part of
my life was over, but now it has really blossomed.  I bought my pump at
Eckerd Drug for about $100, brand name is Impo-Aid.  It is made with the
fitting on the base where the elastic ring fits and once pumped, the sleeve
is turned and the ring slips on right at the base of the penis.  Superb!

My Rejoyn cost about $150 from a regular supplier that I found on the
net.  Be careful about what you buy from eBay, etc.  In some cases
reported here the manufacturer would not back up the warranty on
devices sold from uncertified suppliers.

Good luck.

Thank you.
