That is pretty encouraging, isn't it? The Sloan Kettering nomogram
seems to be based on some very solid research by some very good people,
but other predictive schemes are not so optimistic. Some are very
pessimistic, but those don't seem to me to be based on as much data.
But even Walsh's results, while still very optimistic are not as
optimistic as the Sloan Kettering nomogram. It has to be understood in
these things that until everyone comes up with the same results, or the
differences in the results are fully explained, all these predictions
are at best educated guesses. Still, if your RP was done by a qualified
urologist skilled in modern techniques, and the Sloan Kettering nomogram
gives a figure of 98 percent, you might as well accept that until you
here differently from a reputable source.

It predicted 98% for me. I'm happy to just go along with that unless
something untoward happens.
