Hello-

I am posting this for a friend who, having been diagnosed with a Gleason
10, is now being treated with Fosamax, Casodex and Zoladex.

He has developed acute rectal pain and swollen Hemorrhoids.

He went to the pharmacy which gave him an analgesic ointment to apply,
but it does not seem to b doing much good.

Does anyone know whether this pain and swelling is a result of these
medications?

Thank you.

Those symptoms are not usually associated with those medications.  The
medications are "hormone therapy", used to reduce the production and use of
testosterone.   There may be a highly individualistice allergy to the
medications.  Your friend should call his doctor or his doctor's nurse.
