I haven't posted for a while but have been happily lurking. Today, I
need some advice or anything that can shed light on my situation. My
penis is bent down at a 90 degree angle!
I am 20 months post RP and, with only one nerve saved, have not yet
had an erection. Today, finally, I managed to achieve one with the
help of an injection. I don't think the exact chemicals are relevant
here but it is some kind of triple concoction.
The good news is that my wife and I were finally able to make love
after all this time and we are both ecstatic about that. But I have
this strange bend in my penis and I am not exaggerating the angle!
I vaguely remember reading something about this sometime during all my
research but can't remember what or where. I have an appointment with
the urologist (ED specialist) next month and this will be the first
thing I ask, but in the meantime I would greatly appreciate any
insights, facts, advice that you guys can offer.
My wife is very good about it but it is yet another symptom of PC that
I didn't expect.
Thanks,
Doug

Hi, Doug....
Same thing happened to me. Peyronie's Disease. A bend in the penis caused
by the buildup of plaque on one side. This can be the result of a trauma...
or it can simply form over time. If you go to Google and do a search, you
will find lots of info about Peyronie's. The kicker was that my urologist
told me the only thing to do for the Peyronie's was an implant.... to get
rid of the bend. I haven't gone that route yet.
I have heard others say that they had some signs of Peyronie's and with
use... :)... and exercise, it eventually straightened back out. That has
not happened to me.
Take care... and keep us posted on what your uro suggests..

See Dr. Walsh's book, pages 334-6. It says for about 20 percent of men,
goes away completely by itself. For most others, pain goes away, curvature
lessens.

It sounds like Peyronie's Disease. However, I don't think it is cause by
PCa or by RRP. I think it more likely that most of your penis responded to
the medicine, but one part, due to some placque build-up or just no
effecient capillaries didn't work.
The short-term treatment is keep working on it. A pump is great.
Peyronie's is usually associated with pain, but if I recall, both will
lessen over time in many cases.
