Hello all,

Allen got his catheter removed a couple of hours ago - what a relief!  So
far, no dribbles.  The doctor said it might hurt when he urinates - so I
think he's trying to hold off as long as possible. ;-)

No new news on the pathology.  It is still appears that the cancer was
contained (just barely).  We'll know more in a couple of months when he
has his PSA checked.

Some signs of "life" even while the catheter was in.  We are hopeful!

Take care,

Debbie (wife of Allen, RRP 8/18, Gleason 3+4=7, T2C)

That is good news.  That 'garden hose' was the worst part of the
surgery for me as there was a lot of bladder irritation.  That pain
the first time after its removal was't all that bad and didn't last
that long though they did warn me of it.
Now the waiting to see what the pathology report and then the
follow-ps.  I hope it will all be good news.

Contrats!
I remember all to well when mine came out.  They took me to the back
room ( probably padded for sound insulation) and sat me down on the
edge of the table.  She then said to take a breath and blow out
slowweeeeooooowwwww!!!  Man, that was worse than the surgery.
There was a little burning with the next couple times I peed, but then
that was gone.
Don't believe them when they say it might hut a little, because you
know darn well it will.
