My thanks to all of you who helped me make these decisions.  On Aug 24 I'll
be having LRP at City of Hope in Duarte.  Mark Kawachi ( 3rd opinion) is
supposed to be very practiced at this and his resume is impressive.  He had
the statistics I needed to appease my engineer's soul so that's where I
went.  Today I gave blood, chest X-ray, and had an EKG.  So it's all set.

My backround:
PSA 8 in May
Biopsy 6/4  5 of 12 cores positive Gleason 3+3 T2a
I have just turned 50 (still having trouble admitting that bit)

I just love hearing positive outcomes from the guys here.  Keeps me
positive.  I will add my voice when I have my own positive results to
report.

thanks again

Bob

Hi Bob,

My husband, also 50, has his surgery scheduled for 8/18.  Hopefully we'll
be able to give you a positive report before yours on the 24th.

His background:
PSA of 8.4
Biopsy 2 of 8 positive (70% and 20%) Gleason 3+4, T1C

Good luck to you!

Debbie
