I got my catheter removed today (whew!), and got the pathology report.
It showed a Gleason 6 (same as pre-op), Stage T2a (pre-op was T1c),
tumor in left lobe (mostly left posterior, but also left anterior).
No perineural invasion, no vascular invasion, no seminal vesical
involvement, no bladder neck involvement.  Just "Tumor confined to
prostate" and "Surgical margins free of tumor."

Also, as far as incontinence goes, so far, so dry.  (But it's only
been about an hour.)

hi glenn - it's sounds like you got the best of all the worlds.  gland
contained, dry, no involvement.  now, you can get back to living again,
now that this phase of the nightmare is over.

it's like a card game.  you were the winner - big time.  congrats.  and
may you have many, many undetectable psa's to come.

knowledge is power - growing old is mandatory - growing wise is optional
"Many more men die with prostate cancer than of it. Growing old is
invariably fatal. Prostate cancer is only sometimes so."

So pleased with your outcome........
Now lay back, take it easy and rest as we all pray for good PSA's in your
future.

Congratulations! You should come through this with a "presumed" cure! ie, you
will die of old age before any sign of it returns...

Great news, Glenn! Next milestone, PSA = undetectable. And many more after
that, we all hope.

P.S. Wear the pad... just in case :)

Wow!  If you're dry after an hour, you may be one of the lucky ones.

Upgrade in Stage is normal.  Your biopsy sounds very, very good.

Congratulations!!

The most important thing is to have undetectable PSA's from here on out. All
the other problems are just minor hassles.

Don't forget to burn the bag to the woody gods!! LOL
