I had mentioned previously that one of my neighbors told me he
had been diagnosed with prostate cancer.  His Gleason is 8; I forget
the PSA, but it was not real high, maybe 15 (I guess that is bad
enough though).
Anyway, he told me that his surgery was scheduled for June
30th.  He was told that he would have the catheter for a week.  He
also said they told him the incision would only be 2-3 inches.  I
asked if it would be a laparoscipic procedure, but he said that his
doctor told him "it would be like a lap procedure".  Any idea what
that means?  Could it be the robot?   He is having the surgery at the
local community hospital, so I kind of doubt that they have the
robotic equipment, but maybe so.
So, here's wishing him well.  That high Gleason worries me,
but he said his doctor told him that the cancer was contained, so it
would be no problem.  Wonder how he knows that just from the biopsy?
Oh, and he told me that his brother-in-law told him to call
some friend of his that was cured of prostate cancer by taking aloe
shots.  He actually called this guy and was told that he had a PSA of
over 180 and that he got the medicine in Mexico, and found a doctor in
Florida who administered it.  Now the PSA is zero.  Every hear of that
one, "aloe shots"?
    Thank you.

aloe shots???  in mexico too......they will bring down the psa if it is
mixed with lupron or something like that.

everyone here knows the routine, so if aloe shots were doing much good,
they were be on the cutting edge of technology and in the news and you
are not seeing that happen.

knowledge is power - growing old is mandatory - growing wise is optional
"Many more men die with prostate cancer than of it. Growing old is
invariably fatal. Prostate cancer is only sometimes so."

Can't really comment on this but check out this link for a possible
resource.  I think there are many signs of it's too good to be true;
one should be careful here.
