I was confrimed prostate cancer in 1999.  My son was applying to Stanford
University at the time.  He graduated from High School here in a rural town
with high honors and was accepted to Stanford.
Anyway, my trials and tribulations with Prostate Cancer led me to Stanford
also.
I recieved my RP in 1999, and Today I stood with all the parents and
families of Stanford Students, and was blessed with my son graduating from
Stanford University in BS Engineering.
So in some respect I recieved two gifts.
My surgery @ Stanford,
My son Graduating today.
I cannot wish for much more.
But I can,
I had my younger son graduate from High School, and going off to College
also..
I have a lot to be thankful for, and #1 is this group!
You are all wonderful people, and if I can help you out in anyway, let me
know, or lets go fishing!
John Loomis, proud father.

Hi John,
My congratulations to the three Loomis men. I'm sure your boys are just as
proud of you, as you are of them.
I have to believe that your up beat spirit has rubbed off on them, after
all, the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree.

Wish you and yours the best.

Tom

You are a very lucky man.I wish your sons all the best, coupled with the
determination & follow-through that seems to come from their father. In
facing a condition like PCa, it sometimes, subjectively, brings to view a
situation of possibly "reaching the end of the road", as far as life is
concerned. It's absolutely wonderful to see this "renewal and continuation
of life", that your sons represent. Of course...the best part...is that
you'll be there to share much of it. What a wonderful way to know that for
everyone concerned, there really IS a future! My very best to you
all!....Jerry Rubackin RRP 5/20/04.

You have every reason to be proud, John.... of your sons.... and of
yourself!

Your words of support throughout these past couple of years mean more than
you know.

Take care...

You are indeed fortunate, as well as your sons, to have each other. I
can only imagine how wonderful it feels to have great sons. And too, I
can only imagine the love they have for you. I sincerely hope that
things remain very good for you and yours!

Hello John ...

I am very happy to see the achievements you and your family have made.....in
our daily routines, it is easy to miss the greatness of your contributions
to your family and your country....I wish I could talk straight to your
"kids" and let them know what a great man their father is.....

Hope to chat with you again one of these days...

Your brother in arms,

Fernando
