Just walking the dog and stopped to talk to one of my neighbors. I
would guess him to be 70 give or take a couple years. He told me that he
was just diagnosed with prostate cancer. PSA 6.1 I think he said. The
biopsy came back today, and his doctor recommended surgery. Sounded like
laparoscopic because he said the incision would be small, he would be in the
hospital two days, and the catheter would be in for 6 to 8 days.
Along comes one of the other neighbors, he said he is 67 and had his RRP
when he was 55. He still has to wear a pad, but only one a day and none at
night. Erections are a thing of the past though. The first guy, whose wife
died over ten years ago, said that did not matter for him because he was
dating "the virgin Mary". We all got a good laugh out of that one.
So, in my small little neighborhood there are at least three of us that
had PCa. Hope things go well for the fellow just diagnosed. He is the one
who helped my wife when she fell and broke her leg. Maybe she can return
the favor when he has his surgery.
I did make an appointment today with the ED specialist. To be honest I
am more interested in what he has to say than in trying more therapies. We
will wait and see what he says.
Thank you.

Take notes. It would be interesting to hear what the doctor has to say. I'm
sure it could be helpful to many out here.
