Thanks, Bev. And to EVERYONE in this NG, even those who think brachy
is a bad decision. You, too, have helped me clarify my thinking about
all this. I've been home for about an hour now with a rice-filled
sock pressed to my perineum (ask Bev about that). So far, so good.
But as we all know, the side effects from brachy don't develop
immediately. I'll keep you all posted.

Ron,
FWIW, on Wednesday I had a consultation with the radiation oncologist who is
going to perform my brachy, he told me of a local urologist (unnamed of
course) who stated that if he had to face the decision of treatment
options, he would have a tough time making a decision between RRP and
Brachytherapy considering the current data.

At 61, I tend to agree. It is a hard decision. It just might be even money
as far as cancer is concerned.

Just FYI, I had my seeds implanted in October, 1999, and all is still
well......best wishes to you Ron, and everyone else for that matter.

John,
Just how low has your PSA dropped and has it wiggled around at all or has it
stayed very consistent? Also where did you have your brachy (med center or
local hospital/doctor)? Sorry, but I just can't remember.
