God has blessed me with a 1.1 psa result and the rad doc could not feel
any nodules from the DRE.

Thanks Heather and Palmer! Love you all! I don,t post much because of
the spammers stealing the e-mail addresses from the postings. I sold my
home in two days last month and will close escrow on May 25th, move out
on May 28th, stay at the RV Resort until moving into the newly being
built home around June 15th. God continues to bless.

Nothing like a positive PSA report and a new home!!! You are one very lucky
man!!! As Nike says "Just do it!"
Just stay away from all those wild fires!!

Go Keith and your team! May you have all low PSA's from now on.
I just went to Stanford and gave some gifts to my team for a clear 3 years
this April.

Wow! That's quite a drop from 2.6 at this stage. That's very exciting
news.

Very good Keith. I wish you many more.
Since you're about the only regular poster who has tried
proton beam, maybe you can tell us your thoughts about
other after effects - urinary or sexual side effects,
radiation burns, hemorrhoids, other complications, etc.
The advocates of proton beam therapy seem to
think that side effects are equal to or less than
other forms of radiation. I know you haven't
had other forms and so can't compare them, but I'd
be interested to hear about your experience.

Thank you all for your kind words. I look forward to having low PSA's
but I do understand that other issues may or may not occur. I have yet
to have problems with urination, rectal bleeding, radiation burns, or
hemorrhiods. I have errections but the orgasms are not what they used
to be. The good thing is that my female friend is completely
understanding. The Proton Beam Therapy Treatment at Loma Linda was a
wonderful experience and thus far, as promised, the results are more
than I could have ever imagined. My PSA was 6.4 in October 2002...two
months after teatment it was 4.0...six months after 2.6 and now
1.1...life is good at age 59.

That's a great trend.
I'd rather have 4, 2.6, 1.1 any time over 0.1, 0.15, 0.2.
Your PSA may go down further. But who cares whether
it does or not? The main thing is that it doesn't go up.
