Good news Dave. How were the rad treatments, any problems? Did the doc
discuss what's next, I guess just keep monitoring the PSA?

The rad treatments went fine.20 minutes a day M-F.
Was a bit tired by Friday but a nap cured the fatigue.
The only side effect was an irratated hemmoroid and some burning that went
away 30 days after the last treatment.
Whats next? PSA test again in October and then if its still <0.1 a PSA test
every year.
From what I am hearing from the Docs - researchers are getting closer to
developing new meds/treatments to really slow this disease down and/or
stopping it in its tracks. They are talking a possible cure in 5 to 10
years. I guess the computer age/technology is speeding things up faster than
ever before

I hope there is a real cure for this cancer. I know our doctor said we are
right on the edge of a cure.

Undetectable w/ the ultrasensitive test is great news; I think you can
just about conclude that your PSA is really zero - and that means that
there are no cells of significance anywhere in your body.
Unfortunately many uros still use the standard test and men undergo RT
when in fact they NEVER had truly undetectable PSA. In my mind if you
don't have a post-primary-Tx nadir tantamount to zero, you have
metastatic PCa and RT will not cure you. In my case I am not
comfortable w/ a nadir of <.1. I'm glad to hear of a salvage RT
success story. Your membership here is expiring. :-)
