Neither of those two would get my vote since what MJ did is hardly
considered Rock and Roll and Elvis didn't write any of his songs (I
have heard from some that he did, but I have heard from many others
that he didn't).  Does anyone know for sure?

Did MJ and Elvis ever meet?

I'm pretty sure they must have met, because when MJ married Lisa Marie
Presley the stories mentioned that she knew Michael Jackson since she
was a small child.  I remember in one of the Elvis books it talked
about the Beatles showing up at Graceland once and shooting pool with
Elvis for a couple hours.

I guess that the Beatles story is sort of beside the point, but you
make an excellent point about Lisa Marie that totally escaped me.  It
suggests that they possibly met.

How about a vote for Springsteen!

I don't know for sure, but from what I've read, the most likely
scenario is that the songs were already written and Colonel Parker
worked it out so that Elvis would get a partial writing credit. He may
have added some "uh huh's".

This is a win/win for everyone involved since Colonel Parker and Elvis
would make even more money; and the songwriters would get still get
credit and become very rich themselves.

There are songs out there with "Elvis Presley" credited as a
co-writer, but allegedly he (or Parker) demanded the credit as a
condition of agreeing to record the songs in question.

Similar to Paul Anka's "Tonight Show" theme, co-credited to Johnny
Carson.

Maybe Chuck Berry?

Define 'king'.
