Hi all;
Well, had the meeting with the oncologist today to get the results of the
six month MRI after radiation treatment: He said it looks clean, nothing to
worry about and he'd see me again in six months :) :) :)
I asked about the possibility of a PET scan to double-confirm, but he said
those were generally only good for tumours larger than 1cm and since the
MRI definitely didn't show anything up, a PET wouldn't do anything for me
:)
He didn't have anything to say about the weird headaches or shortness of
breath, but who knows, those could be psychosomatic for all I know :)
Biggest hurdle: Cleared :)

Fabulous news, Marc. :)
I'm concerned about your SOB
Air quality? Not enough fresh air intake in the home?
Mold coming up from wet crawl space ? Fresh air vent accidentally blocked off
in crawl space?
(combined with too much weather proofing).
Any skin reactions ? or "face blush"?
Send me a small neck up photo please.
A friend sent me one 28 inches by 39 inches. Sheesh !
It took me hours and days to figure out how to reduce it so I could see it. <g>
(and a long time to download and save it).

Thanks :)
It's beein weighing on my mind for the last two to three weeks especially,
so I'm glad this is done. Going out with my wife for the weekend to see
Bill Cosby in Ottawa, then off to Quebec City for the weekend, then it's
back to real life, though hopefully with some changes: I made an
appointment with a career councillor in two weeks to see about some work
changes: Twelve years of the same thing gets a little boring, so say the
least, so I figured with this new lease on life, so to speak, it's a good
time to start making some changes :)

Congratulations! Now you'll just make regular visits and occasional
tests (as I do) and hopefully keep getting the "looks clean, come back
in a few months". As for doing the same thing for a dozen years, I'm
past the score mark, still loving it. I did have a sort of
sabbatical, though, doing something else for about three years while
my industry recovered. Good luck with a change, and maybe one day
you'll change again. I bet you'll have a lot of fun seeing Cosby---
you'll likely be on a high for the next week or so after the good
news. I always like hearing others' good news here, and thank you for
posting this.

That's wonderful news, Marc. You have been worried for some time
but things could not have turned out better. The biggest hurdle has
unquestionably been cleared, so please, no more worrying about the
weird headaches and shortness of breath; what you've been through
must be more than enough to account for them.
If some anxiety still lurks and you have 7 minutes to spare you might
like to learn about the experiences of Dr. David Servan-Schreiber,
Psychiatry Professor, Univ. of Pittsburgh. He too had a brain tumor.
7 minutes is the time taken to play the video, which you can see here:

It's up to you.
I wish you a long healthy life.

Ain't that a great feeling? Hope the next scan is as good as the last one.
