Nothing found for Sanesecurity* I was in Yahoo yesterday and nothing weird like that came in. My Javascript is turned off in all 3 browsers I use, which has it's pros and cons. I rarely use Firefox nor Internet Explorer. My default for pdf is set for a different pdf reader, not Adobe. I won't mention the name of the pdf reader I'm using now. In case someone reads and decides to target it. Nothing fourd using that (virus) name and AVG ;Nothing found using that name and Symantec. Such searches usually bring up discussions of the virus. Nothing found on those webpages.
Yahoo scans attachments for viruses? Mine does. I see you've got OE on your computer. I don't.
Was there an attachment with the email? Is the attachment on your computer? What did it do to your computer please? Might help others. Also using Yahoo email address with OE was one of the suggestions I sent to Steph, so want to warn him, if nasties come in that way.

Here's a real virus, going the rounds again. http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/ups.asp Messages purporting to come from the United Parcel Service (UPS) or Federal Express (FedEx) with malicious attachments. J

Yep, probably......and there is a real virus going under the attachment name of "Card from Hallmark". That used to be a hoax letter, but some socially inept teen has sent out a real virus with that name.......check Snopes.

Thanks Auntie Virus :) I tell others not to put their or others on card sending sites. Once one gets on lists, it can backfire into spams. Even Ma Bell could not guarantee what happens if we supply email address. I used to be non-promo fro phone calls, so they uet us back by spamming by mail. :)
About the orginal, I think we should keep this going. Australian web page,. https://www.2000cn.com.au/virus/specific.php?VirusName=Sanesecurity.ScamL.610.UN OFFICIAL

I've got yahoo email addresses and not received this. Are you referring to the past 2-3 weeks with these horrible bacteria?? I was at the hospital yet again today......scared them more than they scared me, I think.
If so, you have got me, my friend. There are not many people who know how sick I have been. Or could that be from a certain MS group. Or...do I know you by another name.
Shaking my head and muttering "c'est impossible" to myself......grin. And thanks for the kind words.....still a ways to go yet and I have a botched root canal that can't be finished until my doctor gives them the OK.

MS Group, no, I lurk on the MS newsgroup. You posted Tuesday, on the prostate cancer newsgroup, that you'd been sick and in hospital, and signed it "Cranky". If it's about the name "Figgs", you pointed it out here (earlier), because Fig (Figgertoes) was posting at the time.
Oh, you mean a Microsh*t newsgroup? ...grin. Are we confused yet? I misunderstood MS. I'm sorry to hear you've had such a rough time, Heather. J

LOL.....thanks J. My brain is fried along with the rest of me. Had a rare bug called "klebsiella pneumonie" which would only respond to one IV antibiotic (I am allergic to penicillin and sulfa)......and then I got C. Difficile in the ER during this 5 day IV treatment. Trust me, you NEVER want to get C. Diff!! I was totally wiped out in more ways than the obvious!! I am still on yet another antibiotic for that and nervous about what happens when I come off it. Apparently my immune system is "compromised".....in other words.....suppressed, non-existant, etc.
The radiologist said that people on chemotherapy are sitting ducks for this, as well as those of us who have had too many antibiotics. So a word of warning to anyone reading this.
I was a very healthy individual until due to a lot of dental surgery I had taken way too many broad spectrum antibiotics. The one that did me in was Clindamycin. So I am working with my doctor and pharmacist to try and rebuild quickly because I have a botched root canal that has to be done (to the tune of $1500!!) and I have to take some sort of antibiotic for this.
It is called being between a rock and a hard place!! Do not like this at all and it scared the hell out of me!! OH.....and the hospital called and I had to go back in for another chest xray.....they thought there was a blip or some such on the original. I forgot they didn't know they infected me with C. Difficile and the look of horror on their faces was something else when I went there yesterday, gloved and masked. (my choice....I didn't want any more of their damn bugs!)
And I have a bad cold. This is my "annus horribillis".....the Queen already had hers.
Figgs (wonder if Figgertoes uses that nom de plume due to her last name.....my mother in law used to joke around using that name)

Funny to run into another Fig. Sounds like a rather awful problem you are having. Hope it resolves for you soon!

It was great to see your posts. Looking through Google, I thought I saw 5 or 6 spams about jewellry and handbags, but can't see them here. Must have been grabbed by Briedbart, maybe.
Come back soon, when you're able to, Fig. Take care, J

And my surname is pronounced the same as your kitty, but not spelled that way. Folks can't pronounce it so I have been called "Figgs" for eons. Blew me away when I saw your first post too. Not a common nickname, for sure.
Thank you for your good wishes......I am being very careful.

I've always had trouble with cipro.
I sent this to a friend of mine http://www.askdrsears.com/html/4/T045700.asp She's been having "annus horribillis" recently and I just remembered she'd been on antibiotic in June. It's the only way, that I know of to reset the gut and has to be ingested long term. If it works we'll have to advise the Queen (for a small remuneration). :p I'm talking about the yogurt, not the powder. I believe the yogurgt stays in the gut longe, combined with other foods,r to do it's action better and longer. And I'd take it during antibiotic therapy as well, in your situation.
Hope you start feeling better soon. Sorrty about the nasties you've been going through, heather. J
Figgertoes - 24 Nov 2008 13:51 GMT > http://www.askdrsears.com/html/4/T045700.asp Great article! I agree, & from a taste/texture standpoint too, Greek yogurt is the BEST! The Barefoot Contessa recommends it in her latest cookbook too. Problem is, I can only find it at 'Whole Paycheck.' Funny, a friend & I were discussing this very thing yesterday before I read your post. She suggested checking the ethnic markets, which I will. We have been eating the tiny container of Activia each day, but its taste is artificial to me. Helps with gut issues, however.

I only had Beatrice yogurt with peaches at the bottom in the house and asking a husband to find you a live culture yogurt is like asking him to dig for gold, lol.
I have also been taking 2 large dose acidophilus capsules every day on my pharmacist's advice (and my daughter as well). My pharmacist is going to look into things at GNC (health food) to see what else I could take.
Btw.....up until lately, due to allergies, Cipro and Flagyl were the only two I was taking. But I then had Clindamycin for my tooth problem, then got the Superbug and was on Gentramycin (sp?) by IV, and finally back on a 10 day course of Flagyl for the C. Diff. The only other drug that cures CDiff is Vancomyn and it is a drug of last resort......simply because the new strains of CDiff are becoming resistant even to Flagyl (Metrodiazole). My pharmacist told me that.
If any of the above helps to keep people on this ng and also the other one, from getting what I had, then it is sure worth it. That was the nastiest disease I have encountered in my life. And could have ended up with surgery to remove the colon!! When I heard that chemo patients often get it is when I decided to post about it.
Stay healthy out there.....Figgs

For Paul: I hope you got my reply. Yours went into my Trash. I've filtered "security so many ways, but I recouped it. Then sent a reply and munged the security part to sexurity. :p Realized later, if you've filtered on sex, you won't get it.
