I recently had my routine physical. Got a barrage of blood tests.

My doctor said all was fine. However, upon looking at my copy of the test
results, the hematocrit was 40.9. Normal is 42-48.

Should I be concerned?
(I have no anemia type symptoms that I can tell)

Good to see you got (good) replies on another newsgroup, Mel.
Have it rechecked at 3? month intervals?
Have your stool and urine checked for bleeding? and DRE ? (prostate)

Darned mistake happened with the brother a prostate cancer patient.
I think they misdiagnosed him with bladder cancer and it was prostate. (my
opinion, for now, until more facts are known) and now it's in his bones. :(((
(My guess based on his PSA)
