A long (nine web-page) story of world-class Chef Achatz, his culinary
career, his restaurants, and his experience with tongue cancer.
More than just the story of his cancer : this is an inside view of the
remarkable world of "molecular gastronomy."
Fascinating to me.
Hope you enjoy,
regards, Uncle Sally

Thank you for this link. It brought back memories (not very pleasant
ones). I guess I'm not the only person who has had tongue cancer
un/mis-diagnosed.
Unlike the subject of the article, my ability to taste sweet was the
last to come back and it's still impaired by cold. I can only taste the
first bite of ice cream, after that it just feels good.
There are days when the ability to taste sweet just isn't there. I guess
that's how I stay so slender :-)
