Saw husbands Dr. today on the cat scan done Monday. He wanted to see the
scan himself this time so she showed us. She had the 1 taken 8 weeks ago for
comparison and said the tumors were not growing or shrinking but he was
stable which was good. Then she was showing us how they pick certain tumors
and measure them as to what is happening. My husband is hard of hearing so I
know he didn't hear what she said when she lowered her voice. She had said
he was stable but then in measuring 2 of them in the lungs she mumbled after
looking at her paper that they had grew 1 or 2 centimeters. After checking
on the internet on centimeters maybe I misunderstood and she said
millimeters. I am glad my husband didn't hear the growing part. As we was
leaving the room to go for the chemo she told him he is doing great and not
to give up hope. That is where I am at this point, just don't want him to
give up at this stage. I know there is no cure but the chemo is slowing it
down at least and so far hasn't been too rough on him. He has even went back
to 5 days at 7 hrs. since the weather is warming up a little.I have went as
far as retelling him when he says he doesn't want to be on chemo the rest of
his life that he won't be. At some point the chemo will not be able to hold
the cancer or it will become to toxic for his body where they will have to
stop giving it. I also point out that there are new trials going on all the
time and maybe while this is helping keep it in check that maybe a more
effective combo will be found. All we can do is hold on and see. Enough for
now, will inform you of any changes. God bless you all.

Thanks for the update, Gloria
I don't think she would have mentioned it, if it was millimeters.
It's good to hear he's well enough to go back to work.
Take care, m'dear.
