I cry as I write this. Hospice has said that Robert may only have a week or two to live. I can barely stay in the room with him, he's lost so much weight and he's so very sick. There is nothing I can do. They can't seem to manage his pain anymore. He told me that he couldn't believe he was dying. I told him I couldn't either. Then I had to leave the room. Before we left, he told us to come back and see him because he would be gone soon. That tore me up. I can't even see to type anymore. I appreciate all of the messages of hope and of care.
