Thanks, J :)
Nope, nothing of the rotary-wing type parked out front (yet), but my wife
*did* just call from work saying she's getting the ingredients for lasagna
and garlic bread w/cheese tonight, so I can totally forgive the lack of a
helicopter :)
Did the mask and CT the other day at the General in Ottawa. That was pretty
cool. Had about a 40 minute wait in the waiting room and spoke to several
people there who were waiting for rad treatments. There was something
just... comforting, being in a room full of people who were there for the
same thing, who had similar thoughts/worries and all had an upbeat look on
things.
If I haven't mentioned it before: The staff at the Ottawa Cancer Centre are
all amazing. Haven't run into one single person who was rude, grumpy,
having a bad day or anything. The technicians who made the mask were a riot
- I think we had a few odd looks from the adjacent room from all the
laughing :)
Heard a positive thing from one of the patients there: He was there for his
28th radiation treatment for prostate cancer: Said he felt absolutely no
side-effects, no fatigue and he was still driving himself 100 km each day
for the treatments. That was *really* nice to hear.

Excellent, excellent. I'm so pleased things are ticketyboo at the treatment
center for you.
Thanks for the update, Marc and glad you had a Happy Birthday.
J- loves that garlic bread and lasagna. :)

I honestly don't know - I just met the guy in the waiting room. He
certainly looked healthy, though - About early fifties, if I had to guess.
Seemed quite confident about his future, etc - All around nice, positive
guy who was planning quite the treat for the radiation staff when he had
his last treatment :)

That's good. :)
(my) Afterthought was that's it's curative, so please forget I asked.
Thanks.
