A very tough subject. Just like the woman deciding against the
feeding tube, we experienced a surprise twist to a directive we
thought we had thought through. Still, writing directives probably
results in our wishes will be followed more often than not. At the
very least, it relieves our loved ones from having to make decisions
for us unguided.
Not sure I agree with the part of losing all dignity when our physical
body loses functionality.
