Husband went for chemo Wednesday and to find out latest cat scan
results.Chemo was canceled due to white blood cells down to 2.4. They did
give him something by IV but I don't know what. It took about 1 1/2 hrs.
Thought it might of been the benadryl  because he was sleepy most of the
day. On the cat scan the Dr. said there might have been a little shrinkage
but nothing is growing so that is good. He asked her opinion on how he was
doing on a scale of 1 to 10. She said if 10 was good then he was a 10.
According to her he is doing a lot better than she expected him to. He
decided this week to cut down to 3 days a week working which I do agree
with. He has a very physical job poring concrete steps, septic tanks and
etc. Mom goes tomorrow for the spheres to be injected into the liver. I just
hope she does as good as my husband has been. Will update more as more
information comes to light.

Non-small cell lung cancer is often resistant to chemotherapy.
So chemo is mostly palliative; so too can be radiotherapy.
Makes sense for him to cut back on work.
Tell him I admire people who do his type of work.  I like to watch.
And ask questions. I can be a pest. :)

Sending good thoughts for your mother's procedure, Gloria.
J - looking forward to hearing how things went

Won't know until she goes for blood work and cat scan then sees the Dr. on
Feb. 21. The procedure went fine, no problems up and about the next day. No
pain of any kind. We will find out after we see the Dr. whether or not they
will have to inject into the other lobe of the liver. Originally Dr. said if
only 1 or 2 small places left they might be able to go in and burn the blood
supply to them. Will let you know when we find out the next step.
