Have you tried Walgreens?
It's mentioned at wikipedia
I don't understand why they'd prescribe something that's not available.
Another place to ask would be the relevant list at ACOR

If no luck at Walgreens. let me know the type of cancer.
I might have a better place for you to ask other patients.
I would also call the hospital drugstore and ask when more will be arriving or
what the cause of delay is.
If it's going to be long and your Dad needs it soonest, his oncologist should
be advised of the difficulty.
(might have sources/tips of where to get it).
