Hello bones and welcome to alt.support.cancer
There are some here with colon cancer but perhaps more advanced stages.
If you do not receive replies here, try the private ACOR e-mail list.
Actually you might wish to participate in both.

One must join, (maybe) give a free (Yahoo or Hotmail) throwaway e-mail
address, then wait for a reply to come back that you are now registered,
before you may read or post messages through that medium.

In stage II, cancer has spread outside the colon to nearby tissue, but
it has not gone into the lymph nodes. (Lymph nodes are small,
bean-shaped structures that are found throughout the body. They filter
substances in a fluid called lymph and help fight infection and
disease.) Stage II colon cancer is sometimes called Dukes B colon
cancer.
Hope this helps and good luck with the treatment.

If it is Duke's B, the five year survival rate (age adjusted) is 90% in some
Australian figures. The ten year survival rate is 89%. It is one of the
cancers where recurrence is virtually never seen after five years after
treatment.
.
If the lymph glands are involved (Duke's C) the figures are 59% and 56%
respectively.
I am sorry that statistics are all we can offer. If you are unsure what
they mean, ask.
