The Royal Marsden hospital in West London,
has a serious fire, affecting four of the operating
theatres so far.Patients undergoing surgery had
to be woken up to be taken out, many people have
been affected, churches have opened their doors

made , his Radio therapy treatment for cancer behind his eye? starts on
Tuesday next week.
We are hoping that the fire will not put back his appointment.   Regards ,

Sounds too early to try to get back in there, for tomorrow?
Have him call?

What's he got behind his eye, Peter?

"The main fire area was contained to the roof," he said, adding it was too soon
to speculate on what caused the fire, but that arson was not suspected.

The lights were on in most of the building on Thursday morning as 50
firefighters assessed the damage and pumped water out of the building.

The hospital's chief executive, Cally Palmer, said the full impact of the fire
was not yet known, but five operating rooms and at least two wards were badly
damaged.

The hospital treats more than 40,000 patients from Britain and around the world
each year and the fire is a huge setback for cancer treatment, said Professor
Ray Powles, the hospital's former head of hemato-oncology.

However, he said valuable research material would not be lost because of a
second site in Sutton, on the southern outskirts of London.
