I would suggest you ask on the breast cancer newsgroup.
It seems to be more about them.

It clearly states that there's a team behind decisions.
She could have asked to see one of the others, if she did not like the
response she got from the one.

It's Ontario by the way, not Canada. Election this month, so lots of
demands being made and rhetoric.
Get the ear of the Press, you get what you want.
Seniors living in nursing homes got more money for their meals.

She's claiming that other patients get treated in hospital - that is
untrue for most.
She's not an invalid - she's a cancer patient.

http://www.cancercare.on.ca/ does not seem to advertise.
I've never seen them mentioned on TV, radio, newspapers (etc) but I don't
watch, listen, read, everything (in the media).
And the woman who wrote that article failed to provide a link to the
website.

There's a stage four colon cancer which has spread to his lungs and liver
cancer patient in Ottawa complaining he can't get medicines. He doesn't
say which drug, nor which he's had before, so it's hard to comment on that
one.

"Senior aides later said Ontario has added 12 new drugs to the public
system since last year and has doubled the budget for cancer drugs to $176
million this year from $62 million in 2003."

Southern Ontario has 1/3 the population of all of Canada; so demand on
healthcare (services and products) is high.

Some go to the US and the government pays, if it's approved first, IIRC.
It was on TV a week or so ago.
