Well... in fact she IS very young to have gotten cancer. Yesterday at
the onc waiting room I saw a kid maybe 11 years old, no hair, in a
wheelchair, waiting for his name to be called. His parents were with
him and they were having a wonderful time together. Not faked. Just
enjoying each others company. Really alive. Made me feel like s***
'cause I'm 56 with CRC stage IV.
I know it sounds insensitive to say that there's always somebody worse
than you. But if you do ponder that a bit and don't let it slide by
you, it can be comforting. I've known people who died at 80 who only
"existed." I've known people who died at 40 who truly "lived."
Best regards.

What you say above is so very true and something everyone should remember.
I will remind her of this. She is certainly one of those that truly lives!
She is a role model for me. Her strength is truly admirable. She has two
small children 6 and 4 to care for and that certainly keeps her going.
Thanks for your words of wisdom. Most appreciated. My best to you. Sue
