I am about 1 1/2 years out from my final chemo for ovarian cancer. I
am clear of cancer but the chemo really screwed up my body chemistry.
Here is my question...
I have bad reactions to many drugs especially antibiotics. Also, my
body metabolism is slow. I was wondering if having a slow metabolism
has any effects on how a drug works within my body. Does the slow
metabolism prolong how long a drug stays within my body rather than be
"quickly" absorbed as the drug is designed to do fro "normal poeple".
Therefore the prolonged presense of the drug adds to the "prescribed
dosage" since there is still drugs in my system when the next dosage
of a drug is to be taken. Does this make any sense at all?
Thanks

Makes perfect sense. How old are you? That might make a difference. I am 68
and things do not react like they used to. What does your Doc say? He/she
might be in a better position to judge.
