Atlantic City voting on casino smoke ban
December 28, 2006

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey --
As reported by the Associated Press: "The cigarette smoke that wafts
through Atlantic City's casinos may disappear within weeks, depending on a
city council vote scheduled for Friday.
"The council in the resort city was to vote on banning smoking on the
floors of the gambling halls -- the only indoor public places in the state
where smoking is allowed.
"...Casino critics, anti-smoking groups and casino employees have protested
the loophole, arguing that casino workers are the only employees now
confronted with secondhand smoke in the workplace..."

Good luck!!!

In a unanimous vote, City Council in Atlantic City voted today to ban
smoking in casinos, but revised the ban to take effect on April 15, 2007 to
give the industry more time to prepare.

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the
intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well
preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in
one hand, Starbucks in the other, totally worn out and
screaming,

"WOO HOO what a ride!"
