I'm looking for a similar case of one of my family's member.
It's a young man of 27.
Breast cancer, bones metastasis.
Is there someone here with the same cancer ?

We have had men post from time to time but no male breast cancer patients at
present.

At one time in the history of medicine .. bloodletting / 'iron
reduction therapy' was the ONLY form of treatment .. which worked for
**gynecomastia**.

Hypogonadism occurs in both sexes and may antedate other clinical
features. Manifestations include loss of libido, impotence, amenorrhea,
testicular atrophy, **gynecomastia**., and sparse body hair.

The advent of hormone therapy paved the way for its' .. demise.

Luckily .. the solution seems to be the TARGETING of the iron levels in
the body as per recent findings of .. chemotherapy resistant cancer ..
RESPONDING to iron binding substances.

Résumé / Abstract
Iron homeostasis is crucial to normal cell metabolism, and its
deficiency or excess is associated with numerous disease states. The
association of increased iron load with cancer may be due to several
factors including free radical production, reduction of the body's
protective mechanism to combat oxidative stress, inhibition of immune
systems, inhibition of essential nutrient functions, facilitation of
cancer growth, suppression of antitumor actions of macrophages, and
lowering of the ratio of T4-T8 positive lymphocytes. Antiproliferative
effects of desferoxamine (DFO) both in vitro and in viva are mediated
by an intracellular pool of iron that is necessary for DNA synthesis
rather than prevention of iron uptake from transferrin. Several
clinical studies have shown it to have antitumor activity in the
treatment of neuroblastoma, leukemia, bladder carcinoma, and
hepatocellular carcinoma. Human neural tumor cells are susceptible to
the effects of DFO. Continued study of DFO is necessary to further
elucidate its antineoplastic profile and its use as an adjunct to
current chemotherapy regimens. Given the lack of satisfactory treatment
of central nervous system neoplasms, DFO could serve as an important
tool in the management of such cancers.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the effect of iron on the
modulation of MMP-9 expression in oral squamous carcinoma cells.
Methods: Human oral squamous carcinoma cell line derived from the
metastatic site,OM-2, was treated with Ferric ammonium citrate (FAC)
ranging from 5 to 50 ug/ml. Cytotoxicity of FAC was tested by MTT
assay. The expression of MMP-9 was analyzed by reverse transcription
polymerase chain reaction. Conditioned medium was collected for
examination of MMP-9 secretion and activation by zymography. Inhibitors

of ERK, JNK and p38 kinase were used for determination of the
intracellular signaling pathway induced by FAC. Results: The toxicity
of FAC was observed at 10 ug/ml. Application of FAC at 5 ug/ml
increased the expression of MMP-9 in both mRNA and protein levels.
However, the activation of MMP-9 was not observed. Addition of ERK
Inhibitor could inhibit the expression of MMP-9 induced by FAC.
Conclusion: This result indicated that iron might play a role in
metastasis of oral squamous cell carcinoma.
