Its worse having the drink to flush your bowels clean than having the
procedure itself

It is not surgey, it is an examination.
Basically they shove a long hose up your rear end.
That is after you have drunk enough laxative to clean out a horse for
three days and gone without food for 48 hours.

Depends what they find, if anything, while in there.
Sometimes they do surgery; remove polyps while they're in there.
