Ct Biopsy/Tumor Questions

I know that Sarcoma is a soft tissue tumor, or at least that is what I am
assuming, I would like to ask all of you for your advise on this situation...
I recently had a CT Scan which showed a 16mm Nodule in the fat of my abdomen,
not connected or related to any of my organs...no intereference, etc...just
sitting right in the fat..

OK, last week I had a CT Guided Biopsy, everytime they tried to poke at this
nodule it would move and would not let the needle poke through...the doctor
described this as a rubber ball effect...they tried for 45 mintues but this
thing would just move everytime it would try to get poked...I think they
mentioned they got a partial inside of the nodule...

Does this sound like Sarcoma?? The doctor's were convinced it was a hradened
cyst or fluid build up~ What came back from the Pathology report was the
samples were acelluar, just blood...

There was no inflammation or liquid around the area, nor was there any
aggressive signs, it also did not grow in the last 4 months, same size...Dr's
were convinced it was something that has been there for a while and have
suggested to come back in 2 months for a follow up scan...both surgeons said
it would be difficult to get at this small nodule for laproscopy or surgery...
thoughts??

How many times are you going to ask?
Take the advice of your docs.

I know Steph I do not recall asking about the biopsy results though and how
the mass reacted to being poked with the needle, thats why I asked again, if
the movement of the mass was a good sign...I have heard that cancerous mass
invade surrounding tissue making them not as mobile, while my mass was all
over the place when the wanted to poke it...

I don't want to be unkind, but as I understand it, you had some vague
abdominal discomfort and managed to find a doc who ordered a CT (which may
have been inappropriate) and as often happens with speculative tests, an
"abnormality" was found which could in no way explain your symptoms. It's
probably entirely innocuous, but I'm afraid you are now paying the price of
over-zealous investigation. The thing they see will never be biopsiable. I
expect in the end you'll have a pointless operation............

I say again, if (at last) your docs are giving you some good advice (don't
do anything, but rescan in  a few months), for god's sake take their advice.

Steph,

They mentioned maybe an Ultrasound or MRI to show this clearly, what do you
think about those tests, will it show anything different than the CT Scan?

I give up..................

Sorry Steph, I am assuming that means to lay back and take the advice of the
doctors and come back in 2-3 months, If you think I am driving you nuts, I
think I am going to drive myself into the ground before this stupid mass does.
