Hello Cancees!

I haven't posted for a while since there really wasn't anything
remarkable to tell you.  My last treatment was on the 22nd of August so
I am approaching a five week mark shortly, and  I thought of some
things you might be interested in.  First off, I lost about 40# during
the eight weeks of chemo (once a week) and radiation 5Xwk.  I have
gained some back but it is occuring slower then I expected.  Most of
the burns have calmed down and the Erbitux lesions are more like dry
skin now then pimples.

That brings me to my topic.  I find/found it interesting that during
the treatment period I more or less expected "things" to happen.  And
in conjunction with that I guess I also expect that aftrer the
treatment was over the onset of recovery would be far more rapid than
it has been.  The Med staff gave me plenty of advice during treatment,
but I advise any of you to stay in touch with your MDs if you feel
things are not going the way you expect.

I had my first checkup with the Med Onc last Monday and he largely told
me stay out of the sun, eat, and hang in there.  I see the Rad. Onc on
Wed. and expect largely the same thing.  I will say the Drs. are very
good at letting me know if there is anyhing I need medication wise just
to call in.  I have and it works.

But, mostly, I want to share that bit of tdepression I feel now and
then when I sense the fatigue that wasn't there before, and have to be
oh so careful with my tongue which usually is hurting like the dickens.
This is but my experience and I still believe that everyones is
different.  Overall I feel my body has blessed me with its resiliency
and stamina. So, don't be surprised with anything and remember, we're
all in this together!

Bless you all,
ipunty

You sound perfectly normal by my standards? I gained 10 lbs and the Docs
encouraged this. Where thet heck are they now my drawers are tight? I go
thru bouts of depression but nothing remarkable. My Onc Doc gave me some
pills, Xanax. I cut them in hallf cause they seem too strong whole. I nip
one once in awhile.  I can park on my can for hours and I don't really care
much about the dust in my house. No one has broken in to steal it yet. My
energy is low but my bloodwork is fine they tell me.
I did the pet/ct scan a couple weeks ago and will get results this coming
week. Other than lack of energy I feel great.
Did a trip to the Christmastree shop last week and had a wonderful time. If
anyone in Mass or Conn reads this they will know what it is like there.
Take good care of yourself and you sound great!!

It's good to read they're taking good care of you.
You will rebound; it just takes time.
Best wishes,

Personally, I have never seen cancer among people who eat dirt. No,
really! Think about it. Have you ever known anyone who regularly ate
dirt to have cancer? I challenge anyone to test this hypothesis. Go
find anyone who eats dirt daily and see if I'm not right on this. No
cancer! Worms eat dirt and have you ever seen an earthworm with
cancer? No.
It makes no difference what kind of dirt - but I would exclude pure
sand, because technically it's not dirt, it's a chemical - silicon
dioxide - and we know that all chemical treatments (hence the word
"chemo" from "chemical") - are plots by the NIH (which is cahoots with
the drug companies) to keep us in the dark about dirt.
In fact, I am so convinced of the efficacy of this "natural" cancer
cure, that I'm thinking of packaging it and selling it. I have a big
supply in my backyard. But first I would give away free samples, like
the Enzyte people, then hit them later with big pricing. Of course I
won't tell them it's dirt. I'll give it a fancy shmancy name like
Enzyte - whoops, I forgot,  that one's taken. Well, I'll keep it
secret for now. I may add water to it and sell it in liquid form -
Mudzyte??

Why does this stuff always seem to happen to my posts?  On the other
hand perhaps the comic relief is welcome.  Like in the case of Marie
Antoinette, we all know what happened when she let them eat cake!
Remember, we're all in this together!  Bless you all, ipunty

the goofie "altie" spammer "attacked" 4 threads.

Sometimes the only way to deal with "altie spammers" is to make fun of
them.
Sorry for any inconvenience and/or no offence intended.

Apparently she did not say it. Must be an internet rumour.
