There are many many different causes and reasons for hair loss. Hair
loss treatments also vary as everyone has different genetic makeup.well
after my baby's birth i also experienced a sudden hair loss, alothough
i have very healthy and thick hair. I looked every where and couldnt
manage to find myself any cure. Now that when i consulted my doctor he
said that this is because of some hormonal changes and also that i
breastfeed my baby so there is some iron defeciency which is causing
this sudden hair loss. so here i end up in finding this link
http://www.geoamaan.com/entry/4/40/ and its really good, they dont sell
any cheap products but actually talk about the very basic and common
reasons which lead to such problem. reasons are like stress, which is
the major cause of sudden hair loss in yound age. well you should give
a look at this site i personally suggest as i really got lots of
information which i dint know before.

The most common reason is that it has a hopeless sense of direction.
Unlike our avian friends, hair does not have a built-in navigation
system. Another thing is that because of all the high engery work done
by the brain, hair is subject to more gravitational pull than would
otherwise be thought 'normal' for something so lacking in mass. For
years, people have been encouraged to think and to be mentally active;
however it is now known that the more one uses one's brain the more
mental energy is expended, causing blood vessels and hair follicles to
dilate. When this dilation happens, the follicles are no longer able to
exert the necessary force on the hair; thus, having no sense of
direction (it cannot find its way back to the head) and being subject to
the greater gravitational pull, it comes loose and falls to the ground.
This effect can be easily observed - most professors and most people of
higher than average intellect exhibit a thinness of the hair that is a
long way above the norm for their peer group.
What can we do about this loss of hair? There have been many products
marketed over the years, and people have even gone for transplants. It
seems obvious, however, that the only sure way to prevent hair from
falling out is to stop thinking! Stop using our brains and your hair
will stop falling out! For most people this is a simple thing to do.
Sit in front of a television for most of the day, watching soap operas
and comedy series; thinking grinds to a halt; hair loss is arrested.
Other methods of clearing the mind completely include drinking an
excessive amount of alcoholic beverage; smoking or otherwise using
marajuana or tobacco and massaging the head with snake oil etc.
Recent studies have shown that hair can, however, be given the means to
develop a sense of direction such that it can navigate its way back to
the scalp from which it fell. To do this the hair needs to be able to
identify which way is up. Since 'up' is similar to the compass point
North, it follows that an amount of iron filings, swallowed daily, will
enter the blood stream and (because iron will point north) thus go to
the hair follicles, eventually impregnating the hair with its own built-
in compass needle. This is an exciting discovery, since the magnetic
pull thus produced is greater than the gravitational force felt by hair.
That means that even if the follicles should lose their grip, there
should be sufficient magnetic attraction between the follicle and the
hair for the hair to be retained until the mental crisis is past.
