Just what I said, is that common after two years of NED for it to just
show up there?
To clarify
My onc was on vacation and I was seen by two other of his
constituents, they man your scans look great the old spots seem to
have calcified and everything else seems to look real good, then the
one said let me check your labs, man I don't understand why your
platelets are low and something else I was not paying attention
because of the original Your scans look great, yada yada yada.
She said remember when Dr John said you can get it in your bones?
I said yes but I had a bone biopsy at the beginning, she said yes but
the chemo treatment you took can cause you to get it in your bones and
other types of cancer. You need to have all your labs done over. Wait
7 to 10 days fax them here and we will see if there is still a
problem. I will set you up with an appointment for next month on the
19th so you can see Dr. John and me, ok? I said sure. Her counter part
says it happens maybe not all that often but it happens. What
medicines are you taking? Do you take aspirin, NO. I have gerds NSAIDS
would be INSAINE, I do take ACIPHEX ,Tylenol, and benadril for
allergies but that's about it. The dismissed me and said see you in a
couple of weeks.
Any other types here ever hear of Bone mets after 2 years of NEDS for
non Hodgkin lymphoma? J I know it seems strange to you me too.

Steph mentioned bone marrow (fatigue) to someone, on
sci.med.diseases.cancer, who is still on treatment and whose platelets are
low. But it's been quite a while since you've been on treatment.
I don't know a lot about lymphoma, Frank, but the bone marrow is part of
the lymph system.

Hang in there, Frank.
Your oncologist will be back by the time of the next tests and wil
interpret the lab tests and give his educated opinion about what is or
isn't happening.
maybe Steph has a comment.

As usual you were correct J
ONC called said when he returned and seen the results from my first
set of labs he too was a bit concerned, not unusual for lab to goof on
one result but for all of them to be off?Any way he then said all my
results were normal from this batch not even one off, said can't
explain it I said me neither but I'll take it. Next set and
appointment is in six months.
Just wanted to let everyone know. He did apologize for the month wait
said he realizes after the first ride on the merry go round that I
must of been at my wits end.
Well back to work and back to worrying about other things for a while.

Congrats on your results. I know how relieved you must be. Enjoy work and
remember how it was when you couldn't.
