Nana, I think you are asking too much of your body, doing that mowing.  No
one else said anything, but maybe you should rethink it.

I'd meant to say similar.  Some of the exercise equipment  at the gym is
designed for minimal stress on joints & other body parts.  You could ask if
any of those sorts of things or some home exercises are OK,but if mowing
causes such prolonged pain, I'd say listen to your body.  You don't want to
risk fracture or other problems.
