Hi:
I have a 2by 2 inch tumor in my left lung, which has been reduced with
Chemo and radiation.
I have a meeting with a surgeon this Tuesday at Hackensack Medical
Center, Hackensack N.J.

I am looking into CyberKnife, instead of regular surgery.
Has anyone in this group had this procedure done. Or is knowledgeable
about it???

Thanks,

Bill

I HAD:
There ia a 3X3.2 mass seen in the right Partracheal Region.
And am being treated at St. Barnabas in Lakewood, NJ I had 2 rounds of Chemo
and 38 treatments of Radiation and this tumor/mass is gone? The heavy
radiation was at the suggestion of the Doc's at FoxChase.

I forgot to mention on the last scan in early June that tumor was gone.

Bill, I had a CyberKnife treatment in 2004 for my second occurrence of
brain mets. Primary was SCLC. I used up my brain radiation limit on my
first occurance. The CyberKnife  procedure was only done once.

Since your cancer is still in your lung, they will probably make a foam
body cradle to hold you still during the treatment.  I had a plastic mask
for my brain mets.

I think most CK treatments are one time.  I don't know what the criteria
for Cyberknife if, but the CK team would be able to advise you
