Hello to all of you cancees out there in karma land!
I hope this note finds you well, happy, and healing. Today,
Saturday, looks like another wet one here in central Ohio and we are
certainly
saturated. Thank you for your continued love and prayers and
support for me and my body. We feel energized for it.
Which brings me to ipunty's body <g>. The easiest way I can
explain the situation to you is to say, "Toto, we're not in
Kansas anymore!"
Yesterday marked the third of eight weeks and it is going to be
time to get to work. I can see that taking things a day at a
time is a good way for me and my body.
The Chemo is going well, I am having the expected response to
the drug but it isn't out of control. The Chemo MD indicated
that the balance of the treatment should largely be what I am
experiencing thus far and that isn't too bad.
The cumulative effect of radiation is resulting in a mouth full
of canker sores, a very sore tongue, and less of an ability to
open my mouth due to cracking at the corners. I continue to
follow my oral hygene and have added flouride as well. Mucous is
beginning to build up and I'll prolly rethink dairy products.
Time to look into the radiation diet. There seems to be a
reddening in the area, kind of sunburn like. It's getting
uncomfortable. Also, I'd say that there has been the first
signs of fatigue and I am adjusting to that.
Well, friends, that about does it. Thanks to you all for your
support and love. BTW, I have been receiving a number of
"angels" in the mail. Hmmmmm? They come annonymously and so it
is tough to repond. There is an organisation called "Angels for
Hope" and they seem to be the intermediary for these crocheted
angels that offer hope and prayers. All I can say is thanks and
I expect they will also be adorning our Christmas Tree/Chanukah
Bush come December.
Til the next time all my love and I remain your carcomaniac
Chemo Sabe,
ipunty

Keep up the fight Chemo Sabe! :-)
Almost passed the half way mark. Isn't is wonderful to have so many
people that care enough to take the time to send you angels. What a
nice picture I have, you surrounded by all these little angels. Brings
a smile to ones face. :-)

You are one tough cookie. Congrats! And sound like a winner too! Whatever
you are doing, keep up the great work. My friend Janet has a Chanukah Bush
every year too!! I never heard that term before meeting her.

So does my friend with the las name of Cohen. Her dad was a liquor salesman
for Royal and when he took her into work with him over the holidays he
needed to explain the Christmas tree.

Just tell them it's a giant, inverted, non-clay dreidel with quills. :)

I know you've read the FAQ that J maintains, so you know about UlcerEase.

Good deal!

Think club soda.

Ask the doctor if he/she thinks silver sulfadiazine cream would help.

Club soda is your friend for the mucous.
