Our little Poodle, Kellie, went to heaven early this morning. She had a
heart condition, but was doing well and was so happy to be back in the
motorhome, taking long walks and greeting new friends, human and canine.

We will go home for the weekend and bury her there. She was 9 1/2 years
old and had been in every state except Hawaii and in all the Canadian
provinces except Manitoba and Sask. She'd been to the Yukon and
Newfoundland-Labrador, too. She loved to travel and pick up her pee-mail
from every tree or post.

We are heartbroken. No one needs to be fighting cancer and have their
dog die at the same time.

I am so sorry Janet! I have a 9 year old goldie and I know how much a
part of the family she is. I can just imagine the loss you are feeling.

I am so sorry for your loss. I hope it is some comfort that her last days
were enjoyable and interesting and that you were all together at the end.

My cancer diagnosis came just a few weeks after I had to euthanise my dog,
so I know how hard it can be to cope with both things at the same time.
It makes everything just so much....drearier.

Oh, Janet, I am so, so sorry.  What a horrible shock.  Take comfort
knowing she knew she was well-loved & cared for.  She may hold a record
for well-traveled.  I know you will miss her.  We had similar with our
Figaro, so I do have some idea of the added stress on you.  Our vet
made us a card with a paw print & lock of fur.  You might want similar.

Thinking of you,

I'm so sorry for you. Not that there's any good time to lose a pet, but
this certainly is a bad time for it.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss for you.  I have lost 3 Shih-Tzu to
old age and heart conditions and swear I will never go through that
again.  But then...so here I am now with a 16 1/2 year old, and a newly
adopted 5 year old.  Dreading to face the heartbreak again.  Franzi
adored LingLing (old gal) and she traveled to Germany with us every
year for 8 years!

You have so much on your plate.  Take comfort in the fact that she was
with you and you shared for as long as you did.

Blessings.
