I give up with this group, I can't stand the consistent America bashing.
Health care information should be given be qualified individuals.
The breaking point was the personal attack on my dead mother and how the
American Way failed her.  I find it reprehensible.

I do want to clarify one point. Janet has to pay for treatment for a
hospital of her choosing, if she went in Network the costs would be much
less. Those of you  with socialized medicine , it is my  belief you have to
go to your assigned hospital. Isn't that the same issue ? Access to any
hospital of your choosing?

Best of luck to all of you who have cancer. Please get advice from qualified
individuals, if people don't post their qualifications BE  AFRAID some
individuals here  practice nursing and medicine without any qualifications.
I find it very scary and often times the information erroneous and harmful.

Hugs to all my fellow cancer survivors. Alex

I agree -- and sorry for the trouble that you have faced on this board.
There are individuals on this board who have questionable judgement
and insight, yet pose as caring professionals offering advice.  Don't
trust the internet -- especially when you cannot verify the source.

Give me a break.
Your arrogance knows no bounds

??? You're the one who complained about her treatment....
The way I see it, RT has served many cancer patients well, over many years.
We've heard a few negatives here, over the years, vs many, many, positives.
Lung cancer w/mets can be swiftly fatal.
I know that from what happened to my mother.
Take some time to come to terms, Alex. It's time.

Agree with this part of your statement.  It appears that many have
gotten off course.  Who was it who said "comparisons are odius?"
Certaiinly they serve no purpose.
There are some things in America that just are not comprehended by
those outside.   We do not have a central government for all things, we
have state rights.  Massachusetts and Vermont now have health insurance
for all.  Other states will follow suit.
Most HMO's and Fee For Service have particular hospitals and providers
they support.  Sure, you can go to anyone, but your co-pay would be
different for out of network, etc.
Stay with us...
I went to Australia for 3 weeks and the topic of health insurance never
arose, here or there!

You posted. But your qualifications are self-evident, right?

I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling comfortable in this newsgroup
anymore. What I don't understand is that you're leaving and debating in
a discussion at the same time. Overhere we have a different system (not
Uk and not US) and everybody complains, so it probably isn't the ideal
system also.
