I think you have to respect people's privacy, the fact J stopped posting
under her real name years ago and shares little personal information is a
message.Sickness, computer issues, or personal issues could be the reasons
for not posting. These days with computer access available I can only
assume that she wants her privacy. I hope she is not ill and offline for
personal issues ( Maybe a vacation even!).

Hello ladies,
I'm sorry if I worried any of you. It was interesting reading the theories.
:)
I had a newsreader (software) problem which started late Thursday - I could
not reply to any email nor newsgroup post. I could "read" but not reply. I
could "read" but not start a new email nor newsgroup post.
I could "receive" but not "send".
Gosh, that was frustrating. In addition, my water was cold when I took a
shower (Thursday - so that took precedent) and had to sort out the water
heater problem and a car problem. Those were the easy ones.
It was the computer problem that I agonized over what the problem was and how
to correct it and searched archives for similar problems, read their
solutions, took notes, searches the www on various things, all the while,
thinking I've seen something similar and solved it XXXX way, but then doubted
myself as to which file (an old one from last summer or a newer one from a
few weeks ago) to copy over and see if it worked. Meantime, back at the
ranch, I had so many notes (old and new) I decided to oranize my notes and
recycle tons of paper
After a bunch of hand-wringing and a good sleep and lounging in bed, thinking
about it, I decided to go for it and copied the old file (and that solved the
problem), then copied it to a backup directory (new date), so hopefully I
won't go through that again.
Please don't worry if I disappear again. Know I'll be thinking of you all and
caring.
This newsgroup worked before I (or Steph) came here and I expect it'll roll
on forever, whether I'm here or not.
Hugs
J

Thanks Penny. Like moss ? <grin> You've grown on me as well.
Our stones go rolling on, but you're never far from my thoughts.

Computer issues are painful. Glad to hear you are fine. Steph has been
around a long time and suspect he be here as long as he is practicing
medicine and has a computer.
