Thanks Araik,
It's good that we can now access AOL formats.

Widow of Christopher Reeve Dies of Lung Cancer
Reeve, a singer-actress who gave up some of her own career to be one of
the nation's best-known caregivers, died late Monday at Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Medical Center of lung cancer, said Kathy Lewis,

Lewis said she was at Reeve's hospital bedside on Friday, and Reeve was
"tired but with her typical sense of humor and smile, always trying to
make other people feel good, her characteristic personality.''

"Four months ago, at a fundraising gala for the foundation, Reeve looked
healthy in a long, formal gown and said she was responding well to
treatment and her tumor was shrinking.

"I'm beating the odds and defying every statistic the doctors can throw at
me,'' Reeve said then. "My prognosis looks better all the time.''

She was still looking well on Jan. 13, when she sang Carole King's "Now
and Forever'' at Madison Square Garden during the retirement ceremony for
Mark Messier's New York Rangers jersey. Reeve was a close friend of
Messier.

Asked how she kept her spirits up, Reeve said she "had a great model.''

"I was married to a man who never gave up,'' she said.

Senator Dianne Feinstein said of Reeve, "I thought that after everything
that she had gone through with Chris that she would have time to smell the
flowers and be in the sun. But apparently that was not meant to be.''

Thanks, J, though I don't know what you mean "accessing AOL format" and I
was not sure if that's allowable by copyright law to quote an article the
way I did. Or the way you have quoted the story. I read the article, that
was very touchy in terms of hard destiny of the couple and the c. So why I
decided to post.

Well, on this newsgroup, the Charter says to post only the link, but how can we discuss
parts of the news article, if we don't quote parts of it...(which I did - so don't
worry about Copyright - if there's a problem, they'll take it up with me for copying
and pasting)

Agreed.

As to the AOL issue, a few years ago, another newsgroup decided to rework their FAQ and
I got dragged into that one *sigh* to help out and we asked the newsgroupers for their
favorites links and some AOL'ers suggested some, but I couldn't access them so I asked
others on the newsgroup if they could and nobody but AOL'ers could. So we decided to
not put those links into the FAQ because it would cause complaints that the links
didn't work.
And now I find that your AOL link worked, so I don't know if our newsreaders adjusted
something to be compatible with AOL or if AOL changed something to be compatible with
us or if the people who suggested the links gave us the wrong links.  It'll remain a
mystery, until someone suggests an AOL link on that newsgroup, then I'll see what
happens then. (sorry for the long story, but that's it).

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, Araik.
Let us know how it's going, as you are able.
Best,
J
