Hi all,

Just a quick note to let you know I'm back home, had a wonderful trip but
it's good to be home again. It was time.

Please know I've been lurking as much as possible and my condolences to
those who have loved ones who have lost the fight. My heart goes out to you.
(hugs)

Odie, you are one amazing lady! Way to go and keep it up! You are an
inspiration. :)

Not doing to bad considering all the traveling. Finding it harder and harder
to walk and my feet and ankles are really swollen so I'll get into see my
family doctor next week about that. The coughing is starting to come back
again. Was nice to have that relief for a couple of months. Hoping to get a
good nights sleep tonight in my own bed! It's been a while since I've slept
good. (not complaining though).

Cheers
Penny

Welcome back, Penny.
You've been lurking huh? Now I feel bad, I wasn't replying to you because i
thought you were too busy.

My, how time flies.
I was reading that you might visit Fig, late February and all of a sudden it's
March 4th !

I'm so sad that we didn't make it to meet Fig! Who know's maybe one day.

I've met a few people that I've chatted with on line and have had great
experiences doing that. It's always nice to have that actual meeting when
you can. Makes the connection that much stronger.

hugs,
Penny

Me too - it's great, isn't it.  In fact, amongst all my friends it's the
ones I've 'met' online through newsgroups first that are the strongest
allies and best people to know.  It's just a shame that we're all so far
away from each other.  Even Alayne and I don't have an easy journey to
each other, though I'm determined to meet her and her girls one of these
days.  I guess I'll have to find an excuse to get across to Cambridge,
'cos I don't mind driving for hours at a time and frequently do so.

Go for it! That would be awesome. Too bad it wasn't so easy to just hop on a
plane and fly over there for a weekend visit. :) Have never been to the UK
or outside of North America for that matter.

I agree, some of the best friendships start out "online". :)

Told Fig, she's can come visit  here anytime too. Maybe when the weather
get's better we can arrange something as a girls weekend or something and
meet somewhere. That would be fun!!

J, whatch think, would you be interested in doing something like that too?

Maybe Fig, and I could meet in your end of the country and we could all have
a girls weekend. Would be awesome!

Wishing isn't going to make it happen but I do love you, Penny.
You're awesome.

I was thinking of you on Sunday night when I was erm..."jiving" to the movie
song that won at the Oscars.
I was picturing you and I er...dancing and butting butts and waving our arms in
the air and having lots of giggles.
I don't want to post it (Bob would have a connyption :p ) it's described here

Sorry if I disappoint; it's not you, it's me, for what I think are good reasons.

Hugs

So...?  You know where the airports are... :-)

Wouldn't it be lovely not to have to worry about money, and just hop on
a plane at nil notice.  I'd nip down to Heathrow and pop across to the
Americas for the weekend every now and then.  As it is, life isn't that
good to me, so can I ask you to please take plenty of photos when you
and Fig meet up?  Then you can shove 'em up on a website and the rest of
us can imagine we were there with you.

Time/Money, Money/Time - seems like when you get one, you lose the
other.  I'm pretty strung out from lack of time now.  But, hey, maybe
we could meet half-way!  What say you?  Newfoundland? Greenland?  <g>

Wasn't it Laphroaig you were praising?  I found 10 year old for $40 &
15 year-old for $70.  Have you had either/both of those?
Recommendation?

Hmm.  Nice idea but for one small thing... well OK, several small
things.  They're called pounds over here :-(

I'd go for the cheaper one simply because it's cheaper.  Either way
you'll get a very good quality whisky and if you find you're not keen
it's daft to waste more dollars than you need to.  My husband doesn't
care for Laphroaig (all the more for me); I reckon to sip it rather than
drink it (if you see what I mean) because it's too darned pricey to
quaff.  Of course, if you find you really don't like it, I'll happily
send you my address... ;-)

But you rightpondians spend money by the pound, so you should have lots!

Of course the richest country on Earth is Ireland, because its capital
is always Dublin.
