Can someone refer me to a site that deals with this and treatment
options? Joe has surgery scheduled for March 1st (at the same hospital
Ken had his surgery.)

I have referred her to some resources that have helped us (including
this forum), and I am trying to help her has best I can.

I've only been here a short time, so I don't know if spinal cancer has
been discussed previously.

Many thanks.

Hello maryanne,
most spine tumors are benign or mets (spread from cancers elsewhere).
Treatment options for primary tumours would be surgery, or radiation
therapy, if surgery's not possible.
For mets, probably radiation therapy, if possible.

There's a few other types mentioned here
http://www.cancerbacup.org.uk/Cancertype/Spinalcord/Spinalcordtumours

Don't feed her that information; ask her for the type because there might
be other types and once I know, I can look it up for you and her, ok?

Thank you for helping your friend.
Hugs
