Will the damage be permanent? > Jackie Hello Jackie, This type of problem tends to reoccur apparently. <http://www.goodhope.org.uk/departments/eyedept/herpetickeratitis.htm> and this one mentions scarring http://www.emedicine.com/OPH/topic256.htm So not being experts, your sister's best to work with eye specialist. Even if there is or becomes scarring, they're doing wonderful things for eyes these days, so do not get discouraged. Work with eye doctor. I'm pleased to read your sister's in remission.
