Well, the results of my PET scan were negative - in other words there
is no active cancer left in my body. This is wonderful news!
However, the CT scan showed a small lump in my chest. My onc says this
happens to most people and I had a very big lump in my chest to begin
with. He says it's just a benign residue but they might want to give
me radiation anyway, just to be on the safe side. He's going to
discuss it with the radiologist and talk to me at my next appointment
(in two weeks time). I guess we need to weigh up the effects of
radiation against the possibility that the cancer might come back.
So, although I might need a little more treatment, it looks like I'm
officially in remission from my Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Cheers,
Jeremy.

Hello Jeremy,
Very good news, indeed. :)
RT in the chest area makes me nervous (possible complications).
Wise to discuss the pros and cons of that with your radiologist.
Thank you for the update.
My best wishes for a continuing remission.

Here in BC, we do advise RT after chemo for bulky mediastinal disease. It
increases disease free survival
