I am saddened to hear that you have been read your sentence. You must
be in a state of frenzy, not knowing what to do, or where to turn to.
You have come to the right forum, and you will get to meet people who
are walking in your footsteps, and you will get lots of encouragement.
Any questions you might have, no matter how ridiculous, will be
answered, and you will get it step by step for your treatment.
Meanwhile, I send all my love and hugs, and encouragement to you, and I
hope to hear more from you.

I second Eddie's words, I'm not a medic so I can't offer any technical
advice, but I used to be a carer for my husband and have plenty of Warm Hugs
to offer.
Wishing you well on your journey.

I've been there. It is scarey at first.
Do you know which type you have? In another post you mentioned NSCLC.
Surgery is a possible option used on NSCLC. It is not an option for SCLC
which responds well to Radiation and Chemo
I was diagnosed with SCLC about 2 1/2 years ago. Chemo and Radiation
Therapy(RT) cleared up my primary cancer on my left lung and RT to the
brain mets have me in remission at this time. My last RT was last Nov, so
I am about a year from treatment.
The next thing for you to do is make a list of questions to ask the doc on
your next visit. No question is too trivial.
After your visit let us know how it went.
