This is a well known fact,Steph just pointed it out(with reason,of
course).But,you see,there is also non-ionising scanning,and that is
MRI.Newest scanners can scan the whole body within 10 minutes,as good
as multislice MRI.Should one undergo whole body MRI without good
medical reason?I am convinced not.Sometimes these scans find some
totally meaningless anatomical change which warrants new testing, and
that is,as Steph says, diagnostic spiral of death. Not to mention the
stress one undergoes while awaiting for the results.I am undergoing
regular MRI's to monitor for my newly formed tumors-and each time I
feel like hearing a death sentence. No one should take these scans
without good medical reason, especially not people that are fully
healthy.Thank you for the article,J.And my thanks to Steph as well.
