I just got totally frustrated by Google.
Trying to find the significance of various  high CA-125 results.
Anyone have a good link or two, or good article(s) on the meaning of
values of CA-125 results?

TIA

Hi LB,
I've just tried searching 4 or 5 different ways (including  value OR trend
"Cancer Antigen 125") and find nothing with specific values.
Tim was using a "trend graph" (during treatment). He seemed to feel that
showed the response to treatment.
If the CA-125 went down.

Medline - percentages - it's old, 1989 - regarding potential for second
look surgery

What would you be using it for? Maybe the graph idea would help?

Thank you.

The background bit was readable, the details (clicked ca-125) was very
dense.

Yes. That's why I didn't point you (and usually not others) to it.
I had a feeling you'd look at it anyway.

Well we got the CA-125 results from yesterday and they are bad.  It went up.

Means end of Topotecan via a pump.  Since this was about the 4th round
things do not look good.  Thanks for your support.

Ah, now I get it.
When she's got funner things to do, we don't hear from her.
I think I heard that Gemaz is a little easier to tolerate, so hopefully it
won't quiet you down too much.
Many hugs, Sam

LOL... no you dont quite get it.Chemos that other ppl barely tolerate, I
breeze through, working full time, leading an active life, never losing a
hear on my head.
The so called easier ones knock me for 6!... dont ask me why or
how...nothings ever simple for me. Its the chemo brain... its get me every
time.

Though in between a paracentisis, and a short hospital admission we did have
time to go to a folk concert, Eric Bogle. Fantastic!! AScottish Aussie who
sings such socially important songs with great lyrics. (Am I supposed to put
that kid of info in this newsgroup)?
Ah.... life is a great journey!!

Oh i see. I also see some, on the breast cancer newsgroup, mention that chemo
brain isn't taken seriously (by employers I think) - hard to keep working or go
back to work immediately after. I don't see it mentioned as side effects either,
so it's underestimated.

no, because then I feel compelled to go look them up :-) Interesting
person/singer.
I think he toured parts of Canada in yr 2000. I must have missed him.

Yes, it is.

Sam, I hope you realize that I was just kidding about the "no"?
We do OT"s (as I'm doing now) or should, if the threads are more about the OT
subject than the cancer

Hugs
